About Virginia Advanced Energy Economy

Virginia Advanced Energy Economy (Virginia AEE) is a coalition of businesses that seek to make the Commonwealth's energy more secure, clean, and affordable, bolstering Virginia's economy. Virginia AEE aims to drive the development of advanced energy through a variety of channels including identifying market growth opportunities, advocating market-based policies, removing policy barriers, establishing public and private partnerships, and serving as the voice of innovative companies in the advanced energy sector. Together, we are working to transform Virginia's energy industry, creating new jobs, growth, and revenue in the Commonwealth. 

Harrison Godfrey serves as Executive Director of Virginia AEE. Harry comes to the organization from the advanced energy sector, having managed government affairs and public engagement for renewable development and energy efficiency businesses. Prior to his work in the private sector, Harry was an aide to the Majority Whip of the US House and the President of the United States. A proud Virginia native, Harry holds a BA in Economics from the College of William & Mary and an MPA from Princeton University.
